Eastern Sierra Fall Foliage
Photography Workshop
w/ Dave Henry
September 28 - 30, 2012
$299.95
The air is so clear. The lakes are so blue. The color is so vivid.
The Eastern Sierra is the only region of California that offers massive displays of fall colors combined with the majesty of some of the continent’s highest peaks.
You will be traveling and photographing with one of the most experienced Sierra fall colors photographers. As a photographer at The Sacramento Bee, Dave’s fall colors photography has run in the pages of The Bee for 33 years. The Bee’s web site (www.sacbee.com/leaves) has carried his daily color reports and photos since the site began in 2000. He taught his first fall foliage photo workshop in 1982.
A Bishop, CA Visitor’s Bureau official once remarked:
“Dave is the father of foliage tourism in the Owen’s Valley”.
You will shoot vivid fall foliage, clear mountain lakes and creeks, vast star fields at night and work with all types of lighting and filters to craft your own style of photograph. You will always find yourself in the right place at the right time to learn the technical and esthetic aspects of photography.
If you’re looking for a workshop that combines photographic
opportunities and knowledge of the Eastern Sierra like few others, don’t pass up this chance. You’ll experience the daily workflow of covering an on-going news story. Join this Canon workshop and we think you will learn more in these three days than you ever thought possible.

Fall in love with Yosemite in Autumn
Photography Workshop
w/ Dave Henry
November 9 - 11, 2012
$299.95
Yosemite in autumn provides a unique window of opportunity for photographers to capture nature’s grandest show of color. Quaking aspens and black cottonwoods change from green to yellow, dogwoods snap to red and black oaks burst into bright orange.
The crisp, fresh air will stimulate your senses waiting for a sunrise while watching meadow mist rise and swirl around the trees. With learned instinct you quickly change lens settings to create a natural sun star and decide to insert a two-stop graduated neutral density filter to bring two areas of your composition into the same density.
Our objective is to heighten your perception of the natural scene, stimulate your compositional eye and give you the necessary tools to anticipate those quick decisions in the field in order to respond to changing conditions.
We think you will learn more in these three days than you ever thought possible.
